Glacier Valley Walk:
This relaxing walk to the glacier is the perfect opportunity to learn the role of the Franz Josef Glacier in shaping this remarkable landscape. After a short walk through the regenerating rainforest, the trip continues along the glacier valley with your guide calling stops to explain the unique features of the Franz Josef Glacier and its surroundings, and a venture up to the dramatic terminal face of the glacier.
Half Day Glacier Experience:
This is a fantastic introduction to the enthralling world of ice, traversing spectacular tracks of only moderate difficulty. A walk through regenerating rainforest and impressive terrain continues through the glacier valley.  After strapping on crampons, you will make your way up the terminal face of the glacier where pre-formed tracks make exploring the lower reaches of the glacier possible.
Full Day Glacier Experience:
This world-renowned all day option takes you into the superb scenery set deep in the heart of the glacier.  Five to six hours on the ice will find you adventuring through blue crevasses and sliding through ice caves, witnessing some of the most spectacular and challenging glacier terrain imaginable.
Heli Hike:
After an exciting scenic flight, you land high up on the glacier and undertake a two hour guided hike amongst some of the most pristine and awe-inspiring glacier scenery available. Your guide chooses the route as you go, and you'll soon be making your way through a wonderland of towering pinnacles and brilliantly blue ice, with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
Ice Climbing:
This is a day packed with adventures and adrenaline highs, introducing you to the exhilarating sport of ice climbing. On the glacier, you will learn all aspects of ice-climbing using the front points of crampons and two technical axes. Your guide will tailor the day to challenge novices and experts alike - no experience necessary.
Glacier Hot Pools:
Nestled in lush rainforest, the Glacier Hot Pools is a haven of natural tranquillity and the perfect way for visitors to unwind and experience a blissful state of pure relaxation after travelling along Te Tai o Poutini (The West Coast). The three invitingly warm main pools and three secluded private pools are nestled within the native bush and birdlife creating a tranquil space to revive your tinana (body), hinengaro (mind) and wairua (spirit). An evening under the stars, sheltered by nature’s leafy canopy at the Glacier Hot Pools, is a truly enchanting, rejuvenating and unforgettable experience.
