Day 1: Depart Los Angeles or San Francisco to Auckland on Air New Zealand
Day 2: Cross the international dateline
Day 3: Arrive Auckland, connect to Kerikeri, Bay of Islands You will be collected from the airport and transferred to your accommodation. Your waterview room will be ready for check-in upon arrival. Your rental car will be delivered to your accommodation.
Absolute Heaven Spa Treatment for Two This afternoon we have arranged for spa treatments at a nearby Resort and Spa. You will enjoy a luxurious 1 hour facial, with the use of complexes and aroma oils. A Darphin signature lymphatic drainage massage, masque, hot towel compress and hydrating moisturizer. Followed by a 30 minute stress release Swedish back, neck and shoulder massage. You will be in “absolute heaven”. Afterwards, enjoy a romantic walk along the beach before dining on a sumputuous meal and fine wine at your accommodation.
Day 4: Bay of Islands - Half Day Scenic Flight, 4WD & Tobogganning or Privately Guided Bay of Islands Highlights
Half Day Scenic Flight, 4WD and Tobogganing An unforgettable half day experience to Cape Reinga and Northland including a scenic flight and 4WD tour. Fly by fixed wing aircraft along the spectacular West Coast and land on a remote air strip. A comfortable 4WD awaits to whisk you away to explore Cape Reinga, New Zealand’s northern most point and where the Pacific Ocean and Tasman Sea collide. Next it’s off to the giant sand dunes for some fun tobogganing - enjoyed by all ages, followed by a spot of morning or afternoon tea on a remote sandy beach before your return flight back down the spectacular East Coast returning via the beautiful Bay of Islands. Get a bird's eye view of some of the most stunning coastal scenery New Zealand has to offer, most of which is inaccessible by road.

Day 5: Bay of Islands Enjoy a free day to explore this stunning region. Visit the romantic and charming township of Russell, tour the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, swim with dolphins, charter a boat for a sail around the islands, find a secluded beach for a picnic, explore the arts, crafts, lifestyle and food stores in Kerikeri or walk in the gorgeous Puketi Forest.
Day 6: Bay of Islands - Auckland - Blenheim / Marlborough Sounds Today you will drive to Auckland to connect with your flight to the South Island! You will arrive in Blenheim, collect your rental car. We have selected two wonderful accommodations from which to choose from, the first is nestled amongst the vines and hosted by food and wine lovers, the other is in the seaside village of Picton - gateway to the gorgeous Marlborough Sounds and hosted by a fabulous New Zealand couple who love the outdoors. From here you can explore the Marlborough Region vineyards, kayak, hike on the Queen Charlotte Track or take a cruise or visit the Marlborough Wine Region.
Day 8: Marlborough Sounds to Christchurch (via Kaikoura and Waipara Valley) Today you have the day to leisurely make your way to Christchurch. You may like to stop at Kaikoura to go Whale Watching or Swimming with Dolphins (must pre-book) followed by winery visits or lunch in the Waipara Valley area - New Zealand's newest wine growing region.
Day 9: Christchurch Explore Christchurch, share a romantic sun rise by hot air balloon, swim with dolphins at Akaroa, wander the Christchurch Arts Center, take a bottle of your favorite Marlborough Wine to enjoy on a late after punting trip on the Avon River or simply relax on your verandah at your accommondation.
Day 10: Christchurch - Mt Cook Enjoy this scenic drive past the glacial lakes of Lake Tekapo and Lake Pukaki to Mt Cook National Park. Take an afternoon walk, a scenic flight or visit to Tasman Glacier! Dinner is included at 'The Hermitage' tonight.
Day 11: Mt Cook to Queenstown Today enjoy the drive to picturesque Queenstown - nestled below the Southern Alps and beside Lake Wakatipu. Your accommodation is centrally located so you can enjoy an evening stroll to dinner, or during the day enjoy the great energy and stunning scenery Queenstown offers. And just to get you in the mood, we've planned a ride on the famous 'Shotover Jet' when you arrive!
Day 12: Queenstown - Picnic on a Peak! There's a time and place for everything and Queenstown is the perfect spot to romance your loved one on a secluded mountain peak!
Helicopter to a secluded and remote area nestled amongst the majesty of the mountains, nature and silence. Enjoy a romantic leisurely champagne luncheon and time in the wilderness alone before calling on the helicopter to return you to civilization. This is truly an experience you'll treasure forever.
