Guest and Hosted
For a closer connection to New Zealand’s people and culture, you may like to choose to stay in a 'Guest & Hosted' property. These properites offer a more 'social' environment. Active Downunder has selected accommodation at many establishments around the country ranging from restored historic houses to former churches and schools that provide a unique and sociable style of accommodation with fabulous hosts. They include country inns, charming bed and breakfast accommodation often in a character heritage home or villa. You can expect a comfortable and attractive bedroom often with tea and coffee making facilities, television and phone with ensuite bathroom. Lounge and dining areas are usually shared with other guests. Some of these properties host a complimentary cocktail hour to get to know their guests and share the local secrets. In most cases, breakfast is included. Most Guest and hosted properties we use are “Qualmarked”. This is New Zealand tourism’s official quality mark that signifies a tourism business has undergone an onsite assessment to be deemed professional and trustworthy.
