2007 Condé Nast Traveler Recommended Travel Specialist for New Zealand.

2006 Travel and Tourism Awards Winner for 'Best Online Content'.
Active Downunder walked away with the award for best online content at Tourism New Zealand’s Travel & Tourism Awards dinner at the chic Table 8 restaurant in West Hollywood on May 17, 2006.  The Travel & Tourism Awards were established to recognize the dedication, expertise and creativity of the North American travel industry in selling New Zealand.  Tourism New Zealand recognises the considerable investment made by the industry in the key North American market in promoting New Zealand.  Tourism New Zealand CEO George Hickton said "We are a country that offers boundless opportunities for experiential vacations, and these awards reward those who facilitate making New Zealand a reality for many North American travelers.”
2006 AmCham-UPS Annual Success & Innovation Awards - Winner for Contribution to Tourism Award
Active Downunder was honored with AMCHAM award for 'Contribution to Tourism'.  Seven innovators and entrepreneurs, representing a wide range of sectors, skills and scale – from movies to fresh flowers, personal fitness to IT and glass bottles to adventure holidays – were honored at the 2006 American Chamber of Commerce-UPS Business Awards held at a gala dinner in Auckland on November 8, 2006.  Attended by over 340 people, the Awards are staged in conjunction with Air New Zealand and celebrate business innovation and success in the import, export, investment and tourism sectors between New Zealand and its second largest trading partner, the United States.

2006 & 2007 Certified Kiwi Specialist.

Kiwi Specialist certification is Tourism New Zealand's way of qualifying travel professionals selling Destination New Zealand. The process involves completing training modules, attendance at key trade events and regular famil visits to New Zealand.  The Kiwi Specialist program offers travel professionals ongoing sales training to build in-depth destination knowledge and the latest product updates.  Once accredited, membership is valid for two years.
